Democratic Rep. Mike Turner sponsored SJR 127 (2004), a proposed constitutional
amendment that would remove the state guarantee of abortion rights in
TN.
- SJR 127 did NOT include exceptions for victims of rape or incest.
- It did NOT include exceptions to protect a woman’s health.
- It did NOT include an exception to save the life of a woman.
